The Nyos Quantum 160 is built for reefers who want powerful, consistent nutrient export without the hassle. With a true plug-and-play design, it’s quick to install, easy to dial in, and designed to run quietly and efficiently day in and day out. Silicone silencer feet reduce vibration, while titanium Grade 2 screws ensure long-term durability in saltwater environments. Fine-tuning is simple with precise micro-adjustments and independent air and water controls, letting you match performance to your system.
At the core of the Quantum 160 is Nyos’ Hybrid Wheel, engineered to produce an ultra-dense cloud of microbubbles while keeping energy consumption low. Built from lightweight materials, it reduces rotational mass for improved efficiency and long-term reliability. The pump housing features Nyos’ Clear-View Reactor design, giving you a direct look at bubble production while making it easy to spot and remove any debris that may enter the volute.
As the air and water mixture moves through the skimmer, it passes into the Nyos Twister bubble plate. This design creates a controlled vortex, increasing dwell time and maximizing contact between bubbles and waste particles for more efficient skimming. The internal body and neck are completely smooth, allowing bubbles to rise naturally and concentrate into the collection cup without turbulence or disruption.
Maintenance is just as streamlined. The collection cup removes quickly with a twist-lock design, and the entire skimmer can be broken down into individual components for deep cleaning when needed.
With independent air and water adjustments, you have full control to fine-tune performance based on sump depth, bioload, and feeding habits—giving you consistent, reliable results across a wide range of reef setups.
